The Legation Boules Club is happy to welcome New Member Fernando Posada to the club. Fernando is a friend of Don Jansky and currently lives in Houston.
Hopefully, Fernando can spend time in Austin playing pétanque with us. He is new to the sport but is catching on really fast.

Margaret is super-nice and relatively new to pétanque.
She appears to be improving by leaps and bounds each week on the terrain.
So, if not already, Margaret will be stiff competition in the near future.

Today - Saturday January 18th - is the birthday of our fearless leader Ed Priest!
Thanks to National Pétanque Umpire Gary Jones, visiting from Carolina Pétanque, we now have four new pétanque umpires certified with the FPUSA.
The Legation Boules Club is happy to welcome new member Stephen Johns.
Stephen may not talk a lot, but he lets his boules do the talking on the terrain!

Yes, it is time to renew your membership!
Even though Marion's birthday is today, January 7th, we will celebrate it pétanque-style at the hangar the Sunday January 12th.
We will get a cake and a few bottles of champagne, so come on out!
It looks like this Sunday at the hangar will be especially nice for a few reasons!
LBC 2020 Membership campaign is now underway!
The yearly dues for 2020 were raised to $20 by a vote of members attending our annual club meeting on November 18.
This is the first time that LBC has raised dues. The reason for the increase is to cover the costs of improvements and to add more functionality to our club’s website.
You can make your annual dues payment to any board member.
The preferred method of payment is by check made out to LBC, but cash will also be accepted.
You can also mail your dues to Ed Priest, 3207 French Place, Austin, TX 78722.

Since Jan 3, 2015 the Legation Boules Club has organized a benefit tournament to support the French Légation. This year, with the passing of Terry Plemons, the tournament has been renamed the Terry Plemons Memorial Tournament.
