How many times have you see this playing pétanque?

The pétanque players of Central Texas are working to put an end to this needless waste.

As much as possible we are working to create a system of reusable plates and glasses.

And it is Working!

What we do:

Collect

Recycle

Compost

Leftovers

Collect and wash drink glasses, plastic plates, forks, knives and spoons for re-use.
Recycle glass, plastic and metal, including empty wine bottles, drink cans and bottles, plastic clam shell boxes and plastic food containers, etc.
Compost food scraps, paper towels, napkins, paper and cardboard food containers.
Leftovers go home in a paper plate, box or bowl.

How to Participate:

Playing along is easy. Just observe how the different collection bins are marked and you can't go wrong!

With the new system we clean and reuse all of the plasticware that we can - so please don't throw it in the trash or recycle bin unless it is broken.

Clean excess food off plates into the compost bin using a scraper or napkin.
Deposit all the different kinds of plasticware into the appropriate collection bin.
Recycle those items that cannot be cleaned and reused.
Trash only those items that cannot be recycled.
