French Legation

The Legation Boules Club originated at the grounds of the Historic French Legation Museum. The grounds of the Legation are a little pétanque paradise in the middle of Austin. Must see!

Current Schedule:

Wednesdays at 10AM if the weather is nice. In case of rain, play may be cancelled or moved to the Browning Hangar.

Browning Hangar

The Browning Hangar is a historic open-air structure in the Mueller development, just east of downtown Austin. Its wide covered space provides shade in summer and shelter in the rain, making it one of the most dependable year-round playing venues in the city.

The hangar sits near several food trucks and restaurants, and the surrounding Mueller park and pond make for a pleasant setting.

Current Schedule:

Fridays and Sundays are the most popular days to play here. Players usually begin arriving around 3PM and often play until dark. Come when you can and play as long as you like.

Nelson Ranch in Cedar Park

Nelson Ranch Park in Cedar Park hosts regular pétanque games for players on the north side of Austin and beyond. It's a welcoming venue with a dedicated terrain and a tight-knit group of regular players.

Games here tend to start early — a good option if Friday nights at the hangar aren't your speed.

Current Schedule:

Sundays and Tuesdays at 9AM
