Happy Holidays All!
Want to give you a little last minute heads-up on some delightful treats you may wish to indulge in for the holidays. As some of you are aware, I'm the manager of Central Texas Farmers' Co-op, and we're considering expanding beyond our current Lockhart-Buda-San Marcos-Wimberley footprint into South/Central/East Austin for our Spring season.
Our last Fall CSA deliveries are next week, and we've put together several compilations of our farmers' greatest hits we're calling Bundles of Joy. Normally, we restrict purchases to our existing subscribers, but we're opening up these bundles, as well as our regular veggie shares, to any CSA curious folks in the area, and especially the petanque community that may know Perrine from La Belle Vie farm, regular participants at the Mueller Sunday market (and potential once again player in our games - I'm working on her :) ).
There are some pretty fantastic options available, and not only are the bundles exclusive to our co-op, they're also priced below what you would pay retail at the farmers' markets. All of it would go great on a holiday table, in a gift basket for your favorite foodie, or...to share at the hangar (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
Take a look at the links below, and if you'd like to order something, please select the Wimberley pickup option to make it easier for me to keep track, and I'll personally deliver them to you next week, either Wednesday at the Legation, or Friday at the Hangar. If you can't make either of those days, but still would like to pick up some chevre or paté or whatever, let me know and we can figure out how to get together.

Well, here we are, just a few weeks from the end of the year, and entering the final week of our 2023 Fall CSA season. It's a little sad to think we're wrapping up, but it's oh so very sweet to look at the amazing goodies we've put together for you to send the season out in style.

We've got crazy delicious charcuterie from La Belle Vie, another batch of truly G.O.A.T. cheese from Rusty Star Ranch, world class chocolate from Kaka'wa Cocoa Beans, and some nutty great spiced pecans. And in addition to the yummy bundles detailed below, our Individual and Bountiful veggie shares are available to order as add-ons if you need to stock up for your big festive feasts.

Veggie Shares
While we’re not taking any more subscriptions as we wind down our season, there’s one more chance to enjoy the diverse bounty our member/owner farmers are tending in their fields all around Central Texas. We haven’t finalized what we’ll be able to include this week, but we’re hearing from our farmers that their fields are looking good with butternut-kabocha hybrid squash, acorn squash, the first celery of the season, jerusalem artichokes, and a wide variety of leafy salad greens as well as bright, crunchy, radishes and turnips. The final combo will include the best of these and possibly other options.
