Here are the notes from the Legation Boules Club Board Meeting of September 26, 2021.

Items Discussed:
1) Terry Plemons Memorial Tournament benefiting the French Legation on Sunday, October 31, 2021
|
- There will be a potluck lunch at the tournament.
- Only food that can be served with utensils will be encouraged. We want to avoid double-dipping to reduce the risk of contamination.
- If anyone is uncomfortable participating in the potluck, they are encouraged to bring food for themselves.
B) Location of Tournament:

- As it stands now, the tournament will take place at the Browning Hangar.
- Jeff Brown has been working with a third party to reserve the space and will confirm with them that we indeed have the entire space on October 31.
- All proceeds raised through this tournament will be donated to the French Legation. Therefore, the winners of the tournament will be awarded medals and not cash prizes.
- Ed is still working to possibly secure the French Legation as the site for the tournament; however, due to staffing issues, it’s unlikely we will be able to hold the tournament there.

2) Legation Boules Club Bylaws
|
The club needs to update our bylaws regarding the Information Officer. Currently, the Information Officer is an elected and voting board member and this will be changed so that she/he is an appointed voting board member.
|
|
3) Election of Board Members
|
The following positions are up for re-election:
|
- Secretary
- Vice President
- Information Officer
Kelly (Vice President) and Jeff (Information Officer) are running for re-election. Mary served two, two-year terms and is unable to run for re-election.
|
LBC Board members will talk with club members to see who is interested in running for these positions. Anyone interested in running for any of these positions should email Peter Gray or Ed Priest.
