Happy New Year I hope everyone had a good and safe one! Things are already looking up for 2021 with vaccines coming and the opening of the French Legation just to name a few...
I got an email from Cynthia Evans, the site director at the French Legation, she let me know that they are looking to open this February. She is looking for volunteers to help with tasks like general yard work and installing signs.
She has specific dates and types of tasks stated in her email that I have copied below. She plans to have no more than eight people on the grounds at one time.
If this sounds like something you would like to help with please call or email Cynthia. Be sure and let her know what dates and tasks you are interested in. It will be great to be back on the grounds of the French Legation again!

Hello from the French Legation! We hope you are all well and staying safe! If you haven't heard, the French Legation has completed all construction, and the staff is working diligently toward tying up all loose ends to make our re-opening unforgettable. We are planning to open the site to the public in February, and although we are almost ready, we need some assistance. The French Legation holds two beautiful acres that are in desperate need of some love and attention. In January and February, we will be hosting weekly general site clean-up days. We also need help in installing interpretive signage and with events. We have started a list below, but we will probably need assistance throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering your time tell us which item on the list you would like to help with. We truly appreciate your assistance in helping to restore the beauty of this wonderful site.
