LBC would like to thank all those who attended our Zoom meeting last night. We had a fun time connecting and catching up - - there was even singing! We understand everyone is busy, even during a pandemic, so for those who were unable to attend or if you attended and would like a recap of the important topics we discussed, please read on.

Election Results - President and Treasurer:
|
Peter Gray will serve another two year term as president and Ed Priest will also serve another two year term as treasurer. Congratulations gentlemen!

LBC currently has $1,156.66 in our checking account and $605 in savings.
|
As you all know, Covid-19 prevented us from officially gathering the majority of this year; therefore, LBC will waive 2021 membership fees for all 2019 members. This means if you were a member in 2019, your membership will automatically be extended through 2021. If you have any friends or family interesting in joining our club, the membership fee is $20.

The French Legation is projected to open to the public sometime in February. This all hinges, of course, on how the next couple of months play out with Covid-19.

Ed P. has been working with them to see if they might be able to open the grounds one afternoon a week for us to play beginning in January. Stay tuned for further updates regarding this.

The small parking lot in the back located on Embassy Drive will be available to us and handicap spots have been added. One big change is parking on San Marcos Street is now metered parking; however, Sundays should be free.

Once restorations are complete, there will be two restrooms available to us. Think how helpful this will be on tournament days!

Nelson Ranch Lighting Project:
|
Earlier this year, LBC contributed funds to help the Nelson Ranch Pétanque Club purchase a new, LED, solar light to help light the park terrain allowing play to continue after dark. The city of Cedar Park purchased an extra long light pole and we are all awaiting its delivery. Once it’s received, the city will take care of placing the pole in the ground and attaching the new light. This project should be completed by the end February.
