We are sending this message to you since many of the people who get the LBC newsletter also use the Austin Pétanque WhatsApp Group.

Due to the high number of out-of-country group members joining the Austin Petanque group, Jan Wilson and myself identified a security breach. We are taking several types of assessments and actions.
To qualify that statement, this is Jan’s career field and she both checked with and is working with a high level security expert for evaluation and next steps.
THERE ARE IMMEDIATE ITEMS FOR GROUP MEMBERS TO FOLLOW:
Also, additional information will be sent including with action for members to take, as/if needed.
1) PLEASE DO NOT POST ANYTHING TO THE AUSTIN PETANQUE WHATSAPP GROUP
2) YOU WILL BE DELETED FROM THE WHATSAPP GROUP TODAY.
3) PLEASE DO NOT DELETE YOURSELF FROM THE GROUP.
4) A NEW GROUP WILL BE CREATED SOON.
5) INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE POSTED AS FOLLOWS:
-In a new Whatsapp group with a new name
-On the LBC website
-Via existing email groups
