Speaking at the Mueller Neighborhood Association

A message from Jeff Brown:
"About a week ago, I found out the Mueller Neighborhood Association was going to have a meeting at the Austin Energy building today, August 19.
I realized we shouldn't miss this opportunity to speak with them about keeping the hangar open and free so I contacted them about participating.

The MNA was nice enough to put me on the agenda and let me speak to them for about 10 minutes.
I told them how we would like to see a postponement of a sale of the hanger so that we can form some sort of coalition, made up of all kinds of groups, to figure out the best path forward in the future.
Thankfully, the whole group was very nice and receptive to the ideas, but we were only able to touch the surface. There are a lot of issues to consider and discussing them will take time.

After the meeting, I got to speak with some of the MNA leaders and get some more insights on how to deal with the Catellus Corporation. I was encouraged to continue with our "grassroots" efforts to raise awareness about the hangar.
There is so much to do we may need to create a separate organization, similar to the Save Zilker Park organization, to make progress.
I know several of you are ready, willing, and able to help get things done, and I think there will be a lot of opportunity for that in the future."
