Browning Hangar Discussed at the PIAC!
|
Thank You to all the people who came out the the Mueller Advisory Commission to support keeping the Browning Hangar open to the public on August 8th, 2023.
|
We are grateful to the Martial Arts folks who also came out to support keeping the hangar open.
|
As you can hear in the video, the dream of preserving the hangar into the future also seems to be gaining support from people who live in the Mueller community.
|
One member of the Commission members also pointed out the fact that the hangar, since it has been cared for so well over the years, is the last remaining structure of it's kind in the country - truly a unique historic Austin icon!

|
Next, we need to start preparing for the PIAC meeting on September 12th. Almost everyone we talk to agrees that they would like to see hangar stay free and open, so now our job is to find a plan that can make that happen.
|
As suggested at the meeting, the best path forward now may be to put the sale of the hangar on hold for a while so that a study can be done to determine what the community really thinks about the best way to go forward.
